Cardi B is finally getting some of the money she’s owed from her defamation case against YouTuber Tasha K, but it’s only a fraction of the $3.9 million judgment. Tasha K has agreed to a five-year payment plan totaling just under $1.2 million, which Cardi B accepted in exchange for dropping her objections to Tasha’s bankruptcy filing.
However, the rest of the debt remains non-dischargeable, meaning Tasha will still owe Cardi millions even after completing the repayment plan. This legal battle began in 2019 when Tasha accused Cardi of serious allegations, which Cardi denied, leading to her victory in 2022. Tasha later filed for bankruptcy in 2023, claiming she was nearly broke, but Cardi’s legal team accused her of hiding assets through her husband’s company.
Despite this, Tasha’s legal issues haven’t stopped, as she found herself in another lawsuit with comedian Kevin Hart in 2023 over extortion claims. Although the lawsuit with Hart ended in a settlement in 2024.
